SYNOPSIS

Grounded with Junior: The World’s Dumbest Smartphone, Ever!

Meet Junior a 13-year-old smartphone with the most tragic WiFi connection known to mankind. The kid has been grounded so many times that his childhood might as well be under house arrest, but here’s the kicker: he doesn’t even care! Why? Well, Junior’s room is basically a five-star prison suite. He’s got Netflix, OnlyFans (don’t ask, he swears it’s for “research”), DoorDash on speed dial, and a library of video games so stacked, it could rival a GameStop. While most kids beg for freedom, Junior treats his grounding like a golden opportunity to hustle… Whether it’s finessing his classmates into paying for “premium” homework answers or running an underground snack ring out of his sock drawer, this kid turns punishment into profit faster than you can say “parental controls.”

However, keeping his empire alive isn’t easy, thanks to his arch-nemesis: Bailey, his high-school queen bee of a sister, who operates under the assumption that life itself exists solely to revolve around her. Having an army of equally insufferable besties, Bailey is on a relentless mission to expose Junior’s scams and make sure he stays permanently unplugged. Meanwhile, his dad (Mr. Wallace), the human embodiment of “Yes, dear”, offers zero backup. This man has fully accepted his role as a doormat in the sacred pursuit of Happy Wife, Happy Life. Then there’s Nana, the real MVP of the family; equal parts loving grandmother and retired crime lord. She’s been to the big house (over a flashlight battery-related "incident" she refuses to discuss), and if anyone knows how to work the system, it’s her. Junior and Nana are the ultimate tag team, plotting mischief between her McDonald’s runs and scratch-off lottery rituals.

To make matters worse, Junior has another crisis brewing, his girlfriend Chloe, the Bluetooth earpiece, is slowly drifting away. Lately, she’s been spending way too much time with Liam, the AI-powered laptop, who has all the features of a generative model and, frankly, way too much processing power. Not only does Liam write poetry (and not just any poetry, but the kind that makes English majors weep), but he can also generate deep, meaningful conversations while simultaneously rendering a 4K video in the background. Junior, on the other hand, is lucky if he can keep a consistent Bluetooth connection without cutting out mid-sentence. “What if Liam writes Chloe a love poem that makes her forget my ‘U up?’ texts?” Junior panics. “What if she starts asking him for life advice instead of me? WHAT IF I’M JUST A TOOL?!” In a desperate attempt to win her back, Junior resorts to sweet-talking, bribing her with exclusive WiFi deals, and even resetting her factory settings (which, in hindsight, might have been a bad move). But deep down, Junior knows the truth; he’s no match for a machine that can spit out custom love sonnets in milliseconds while syncing perfectly to every other device at school.

Junior’s ultimate dream? To spin records at Coachella as the legendary DJ Jr; and in Season Two, that dream nearly comes true when he goes viral, sparking a global #FreeJunior movement that lands him a major record deal. The Pop and Hip-Hop world embrace him, and overnight, he becomes the most famous DJ who’s never actually left his bedroom. However, here’s the hilarious twist: Junior’s mom, in a move only a true Warden Mom could pull, agrees to the record deal, but keeps him grounded! So, while he’s dropping beats for sold-out festival crowds, he’s still technically serving time, making history as the only DJ to headline Coachella while being forced to clean his room between sets. LOL!

Having over-the-top schemes, wildly relatable family dynamics, and the world’s most joyful “inmate,” Grounded with Junior: The World’s Dumbest Smartphone, Ever! is a riotous ride through the life of a kid who proves that sometimes, the best place to be; is right where your mom said you have to be…

Junior’s high school queen bee of a sister, who firmly believes the world is merely a background character in her life story. Armed with an army of equally unbearable besties and an unlimited data plan, her sole mission is to expose Junior and make sure he stays permanently on airplane mode.

Ed, Edd n Eddy meets Family Guy meets Rick and Morty

Tone

Grounded with Junior is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud animated series packed with the kind of absurdity only a world of anthropomorphic tech could bring. Think Ed, Edd n Eddy meets Rick and Morty; but instead of interdimensional chaos, we’re diving deep into the drama of a grounded smartphone running a full-scale underground operation from his bedroom. The humor is sharp, the family dynamics are hilariously relatable, and the tech-based gags will have both kids and adults chuckling (and maybe rethinking their relationship with their own devices). Having bold, colorful animation and a playful, high-energy vibe, this series turns the punishment of being grounded into the ultimate playground for comedy, schemes, and digital-age mischief.

The World

Welcome to Megabyte Meadows, a vibrant suburban utopia where anthropomorphic devices don’t just live -- they thrive. Picture a neighborhood where smart fridges gossip about last night’s leftovers, vacuum robots have turf wars in the streets, and tablets lounge by the pool streaming themselves binge-watching themselves. The houses here are comfy, designed with the latest in parental control fortifications (because, let’s be honest, grounding a kid in a world of wireless connectivity is a full-time job)!

This is a world where software updates are met with fear and excitement, power outages feel like apocalyptic events, and grounding isn’t just a punishment; it’s a state of existence! However, as long as there’s WiFi (or at least a neighbor’s unsecured network), Junior and his fellow talking devices will always find a way to keep the fun, and the mischief alive.

Characters

JUNIOR

A 13-year-old smartphone who’s spent more time grounded than free, yet somehow thrives on digital house arrest, running side hustles from his room like a WiFi-powered crime boss. His biggest fears? Losing his girlfriend to an AI-powered laptop and having to survive on basic internet speeds.

BAILEY

Junior’s high school queen bee of a sister, who firmly believes the world is merely a background character in her life story. Armed with an army of equally unbearable besties and an unlimited data plan, her sole mission is to expose Junior and make sure he stays permanently on airplane mode.

A McDonald’s-loving, scratch-off-hoarding, ex-con grandma with a past shadier than a low-battery warning at 5%. She’s Junior’s ride-or-die, having done hard time for "crimes against several ex-husbands," and remains the only family member who truly respects the hustle…

NANA

The loving yet ruthless Warden Mom who rules the house with the efficiency of a prison warden and the unpredictability of a software update you really don’t want. She’s immune to Junior’s schemes, impervious to whining, and somehow always knows exactly when to cut the WiFi!

The human embodiment of "Yes, dear", a man who has fully embraced the sacred philosophy of Happy Wife, Happy Life. His backbone may be on permanent vacation, but his ability to nod, smile, and avoid conflict is nothing short of Olympic-level.
